It seems to be a popular trend from a lot of moms I come in contact with and within my own experience as a mom, that babies can be really good eaters the first year of their life and then once they hit about a year and a half all of the sudden their appetite changes and the food they once loved gets thrown on the ground and chucked across the room.

July 22, 2014 at 8:24 pm (10 years ago)I just love Bento lunches and even made Hayley (my youngest) some for the first half of the school year. Then she informed me that she didn’t want to take lunch anymore. Spoil sport lol.
Now I satisfy the need for something cute by doing it at home for them on occasion.

July 22, 2014 at 2:15 pm (10 years ago)Hi Paula! Thanks for stopping by. Some of these do look like a lot of work lol. That’s definitely why I wouldn’t recommend making your kids’ meals like this every day, just every once in a while to spice things up and make eating time fun for your little ones. Thanks again for your comment!

July 22, 2014 at 12:37 am (10 years ago)My kids love it when I take a bit of extra time to make their food look cute. My son starts kindergarten this year; I might do a few of these the first week of school to make him smile!
