Black and White Nursery with Baby Cache

The past month and a half with our little miracle man has been an absolute DREAM! Welcoming him into our family has been everything we had ever imagined and MORE. His sweet spirit has brought a peace and happiness into our home that has changed our lives and he truly is the missing piece to our family puzzle that we have been wanting, waiting and working so hard for. Being a BOY mom has quickly become one of my most favorite things!

You ladies probably remember a few months ago when we had our Slime Time Gender Reveal and found out the miracle baby that was soon to arrive was a BOY! So many different emotions overcame me when I saw that BLUE slime fall over our heads. I couldn’t believe my eyes… a boy?! .. it’s a BOY?! …WE ARE HAVING A BOY?! I was in complete shock and was so excited for what was to come!

It didn’t take long for me to begin my list of “things to do” before the baby would arrive! Picking out a name, shopping for clothes, picking out a carseat and probably my most favorite thing… planning and decorating a nursery!

When it came to decorating a nursery for a boy I didn’t know what to do, to be honest. For the past four years I have known nothing but pink, sparkles, glitter and fairies and figured that wouldn’t really cut it for this little guy kicking inside of me. SO, the research began! How in the world do I decorate for a BOY?!

You better believe I was all over Pinterest and asking Google all sorts of questions for ideas and inspiration on how to prepare for this cute little man.

And THAT was when I fell in love.

Through my research and pinning, I stumbled upon the Baby Cache’s Overland Forever Black Crib & Dresser and it won my heart immediately! I had once heard that black and white nurseries were good for visual stimulation for newborns and the contrast between the two colors was good for their little brains and eyes – so the very fact that a black and white nursery was not only timeless and SUPER cute, but it was also GOOD for him, I knew I had found a winner!

It wasn’t a hard decision to pick The Overland Convertible Crib because it was the exact look that I had been wanting. It’s sleek and timeless design was the perfect choice for our sweet baby boy to sleep in.

My husband loved how easy it was to put together {hallelujah!} and I love that it will be able to grow with him for the years to come! Starting from a crib, it can turn into a toddler bed, day bed and full size bed as he continues to grow.

To go with it, the 6 drawer double dresser that matches has been heaven sent! The spacious drawers have been perfect for organizing all of our baby items and clothes, while it’s height has been ideal for more storage and display space. You could even use it as a changing table if needed, which is amazing!
