Okay. How did this happen?! Does anyone else feel like as an adult, time FLIES way faster than when we were kids? I feel like I blink and a new season is upon us!
It’s hard to believe that it is Back To School season already! Today as I went school shopping with my girl – I had an overwhelming feeling of love come over me. You all know how hard it was for me to become a mom. Through YEARS of treatments & surgeries, our IVF treatment FINALLY worked and my dreams finally became a reality!
As I walked around the mall hand in hand with my 6 year old girl, it was one of those moments where I felt like I needed to be pinched so I would wake up from a dream. What a blessing it is to be a mom!
LADIES – I am SO excited to share with you today a few things about our FAVORITE shoe store for this time of year… FAMOUS FOOTWEAR!! I remember going to Famous Footwear with MY MOM as a kid, so it was especially awesome & special to take my girl into the store for some shopping fun!
They literally have EVERY shoe imaginable at such great prices! We had the best time trying all of our favorite brands like Nike, Adidas, Converse, Sperry, Birkenstock and MORE! We were walking up and down the aisles laughing over how many pairs we wanted!
We love that their collection for the whole family is perfection! We literally could have boughten the whole store from toddler shoes for Hunty & little girl shoes for Lai … to mom & dad shoes for Tys and I… they have it all!
As I was thinking about this new school year starting, I was talking to my girl about how exciting it is for our whole little family to have a fresh start! We recently moved so we are in a brand new state with a new school and new friends with new teachers and honestly just a whole new world. I was telling her how special it is to be in a circumstance like this because we can seriously BE anything we want to be!
As we walked up and down the aisles I looked at her and asked, “What do YOU want to be at this new school?” And her reply brought me to tears…
“Mom, I want to be NICE…duuuh!”
Well… duhhhh I thought to myself. If we can be anything in this world – let’s be NICE! <3
In a world full of busy, let’s be calm. In a world full of hatred, let’s be loving. In a world full of mean…let’s be NICE!
I don’t think I will ever forget that moment in Famous Footwear. Out of the mouth of babes, I tell ya. Our children are wise. They are loving. They are good. And they are the BEST examples!
This year as we start fresh and can become anything in this world – let’s be… NICE!
