Meet This Mormon – Danielle {Today’s The Best Day}

meet this mormon

Are these ladies above me just AMAZING?! I feel so honored to be a part of this with each of them! I try everyday to be more like THEM!

As many of you saw a few weeks ago on our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter – My way cute husband and I were invited to the sneak preview of the movie Meet The Mormons that is in theaters TODAY! Walking out of that theater I had the urge to do better. I had the courage to go through hard trials. I had the excitement to help others. And I had SO much love in my heart for my family.

Meet The Mormons

You all know how much I LOVE my family. My husband and baby girl are my WORLD. In fact, that is what this website is all about! Loving yourself. Loving your spouse. And overall, loving your family.

The day I became a mom changed my life. Holding that perfect miracle in my arms for the first time was unreal. Just ten years prior, I was sitting in a cold doctors office with my mom. I was only 16 years old and was told the hardest news any girl could ever hear… especially a teenage girl. The words were uttered, “It looks as if you will not be able to have children. And if you do, it will be extremely difficult… even a miracle.

I invite you to watch this video about my journey of becoming a mom… I was massive. Don’t judge my baby bump! 🙂

Great Things are Worth Waiting For… from Tyson Davis on Vimeo.

I am so grateful that miracles DO happen. After eight failed rounds of clomid, three failed IUI’s, two D&Cs, two surgeries, one IVF, countless tests, hundreds of needles, and five months of bed rest… Our angel came to earth!

Each of us will go through hard trials. Big and small. Hard and harder. And the crazy thing is… we all will go through DIFFERENT trials! It may be infertility, or it may be fertility. It may be money or lack of money. It may be health and it may be sickness. It may be a spouse or it may be children. But I am grateful to know that there is help. There is a way out. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. There is peace that we can find. There is a comforter that can hold us close. There is joy that we can experience.

Through the darkest days, weeks, even YEARS of my life… I was able to find peace. I was able to find hope. I was able to have faith. And it was because I KNEW that Heavenly Father loved me. I KNEW that He heard my prayers. And I KNEW that everything was going to be okay.

My trials aren’t over – none of ours are. But I am so grateful to know the Jesus Christ is our Savior, our Brother, our Redeemer and our Friend! He is just waiting for us to come unto Him. He can carry us through our hardest trials and knows each of us, by name.

No matter where you live, what your religion is or what you believe – know that you CAN do hard things. And through Him, anything is possible. Even MIRACLES.

Meet This Mormon - Through Him, Anything is possible. Even miracles!

I encourage each of you to grab your family, your man, a friend or even just yourself… and head to a theater near you to see Meet The Mormons. I know you will walk out of the theater just as I did! With that urge to do better, the courage to go through hard trials, the excitement to help others and more love in your heart!

    I saw Meet the Mormons yesterday in Kansas City. I really enjoyed it. There were some laughter and tears. It was a perfect mix of 6 people in the film. It’s great others learn that we, as Mormons, are your neighbors, coworkers and friends. I, too, was inspired when I left the movie. I want people to know that every decision I make is Christ centered.
    I am so happy beyond words to see so many links to other Mormon bloggers. I’ve been wanting a list like this for a long time. Thanks Danielle.

      Hi Betsy! So happy you stopped by to say hi! Didn’t you just love the movie? I thought it was so great how they really did center on who the members of the church are instead of how to world views us. Thanks for your comment and for being amazing!

    Your video made me cry. We waited four years for our miracle baby and there are times I don’t feel like I am grateful enough to my Savior for him. Thanks for the reminder and encouragement to see the movie.
