VTech Baby Monitor – Product Review

As a first-time mom, I was so nervous for the day to come that my new baby had to sleep in her own bed, in her own bedroom, away from me! If I had it my way, she would sleep cuddling next to me until she goes to college! I just love cuddles and being close to her.

As all moms know, time FLIES and our babies grow so quickly. It didn’t take long for the day to come that my little one had to sleep in her own room. My heart was worried and I was nervous for this next step, but then I was introduced by a friend, a product that seriously changed my life.

VTech Baby Monitor A Mom Must Have

VTech’s Safe&Sound® Pan & Tilt Full Color Video Baby Monitor is the BEST thing that could have happened to me as a new, worried mom! You mean I could just sit and watch my girl sleep and make sure she is breathing in there, without me being physically IN her room? I was SOLD.

This award winning baby monitor was so easy to put together and set-up. We were able to put it in her bedroom, close her door and keep an eye on her at all times! The camera pans up to 270 degrees side-to-side and tilts as many as 124 degrees up and down. You can even zoom in up to 2x to get a closer look at your little one. With up to 1,000 feet of range you know what your baby is up to even when you are in another room too! Another thing I found comfort in is that it comes equipped with digital transmission. The signal is digitized and encrypted, ensuring video and audio transmission is always private and secure.

If you have a new baby, it is so nice to be able to zoom in and make sure your baby is still breathing and sleeping. As a growing baby, it is fun to watch them explore and learn how to pull themselves up in their cribs. And as a toddler, it is nice to be able to check on them, to make sure they aren’t getting into trouble in their room. The camera can be used at every stage of our growing babies lives!

Some of it’s most popular features are:

  • Pan, Tilt, and Zoom: Watch as your little one moves about. The camera pans up to 270 degrees side-to-side and tilts as many as 124 degrees up and down. Need more detail? The camera zooms up to 2x.
  • Multiple View Options: System supports viewing of up to 4 total cameras from one parent unit. Viewing modes include single view (one camera only), split view (cycles through cameras on single view before stopping on split view) and patrol mode (single view that transitions to a different camera every 7 seconds).
  • High-resolution 2.8-inch color LCD: Never miss a smile with the high-resolution, 2.8-inch color LCD.
  • Full-motion video: With up to 25 frames per second, you can see your child’s every move on clear, dynamic video.
  • Automatic night vision: Two infrared LEDs and a low-lux camera automatically detect dim light, providing clear video even in dark rooms.
  • Talk-back intercom: Sometimes all your baby needs is to hear the sound of your voice. Comfort your infant from any room with the built-in intercom on the portable parent unit.

It also has a temperature sensor, wall-mount bracket, vibrating sound-alert on the parent unit, rechargeable battery, zoom-in features and more.

Having a full color video baby monitor is a mommy MUST! Being able to check-in on our little ones whenever we want is not only good for safety, but good for moms that worry like ME!

I love this idea. My 7-month-old daughter was recently hospitalized with croup. During her stay she stopped breathing, and thankfully the nurses were right there and able to resuscitate her. She was sent via life flight to a children’s specialty hospital where they could watch her closely. They decided to send her home on Christmas Eve, but we worry constantly that she will stop breathing. I sit outside the door and listen until I hear her breaths. The video would be amazing!!

Amy that is such a sad story. I am so sorry to hear about your daughter. The video is so nice when they are sick. My husband and I used a camera with our daughter and it helped calm my nerves so much. I highly recommend using it. Thank you for commenting and I hope things get better with the croup.
