Hey Guys!!
I am SO excited for this month’s Besties Photo Challenge to begin!! A few weeks ago we talked about the importance of getting IN the photos we take these days more often!
I was looking through old photo albums and was treasuring every single photo of me and my parents. I LOVED seeing my beautiful mom’s smile and loved seeing me sit on my dad’s lap. The pics are like SERIOUS GOLD to me!
Time goes SO stinkin’ fast and I cherish every hilarious, 90’s style photo I can find – and it got me thinking about MY kids! And not just mine, but OUR kids, you guys! {Our 2nd Generation BESTIES!} These days we are always SO quick to take photos of our kids riding their bikes, going to school, taking their first steps and eating an ice cream – but VERY few times are we getting IN the photos with them!
BESTIES!! Our kids will grow up one day and WANT to see our faces! Seriously. Your kid will want to see YOUR smile! YOUR style! YOUR pretty face! They’re going to TREASURE the photos WE are in! So we neeeeeeed to get in FRONT of the camera TODAY – not behind anymore!
So HERE WE GO!!! No matter what you look like. Or think you look like. Or think you should look like. Or wish you would look like. We are going to take 25 PHOTOS in 25 DAYS of YOU.
Because IT DOESN’T MATTER what you look like!!! What matters is that you are THERE!! You are making memories! You are living your best life! You are trying hard! You are tired! You are happy! You are sad! You are freain’ AMAZING! And you’re going to get IN THE PICTURES so not only you remember – but your kids and grandkids will know you were there too!
SO. Without further ado – WELCOME to the BESTIE’S PHOTO CHALLENGE 2018!
WHAT IS IT?! Over the next 25 days, the Bestie Squad {that’s you if you’re reading this! HIIII!} are going to hold a 25 Day Photo Challenge. Every single day for the month of September, we are going to get IN a picture! Whether it’s a shameless selfie, with your kid, with your dog, with your husband, with your friend, with your food, or whatever you would like to take a picture with – YOU are going to be IN FRONT of the camera, not behind!
HOW DO I PARTICIPATE? The challenge is SO easy and SO fun! All you need is a camera {the one on your phone is perfect!} and yourself. Every day, you will snap a pic and post it on Instagram using our hashtag the squad came up with and voted on which is #BestiesPhotoChallenge ! Easy peasy right?! **Note: I am unable to see your photos if you are private. Please go public for the challenge so I can see your pictures!**
WHY WOULD WE DO THIS? Well. Not only is it SO dang important to capture our lives right now, to document and save all of the happiness, sadness, struggles, excitement and craziness of our lives – but we also are GIVING AWAY a prize at the end which is kinda fun?! At the end of the challenge you will have 25 pictures of YOU, plus every photo you post is an entry to win our first ever BESTIE BOX – which is a loaded up box with all my favorite things – and trust me, they’re going to be your favorite things too! Throughout the month I will be doing little glimpse’s into the Bestie Box and I promise you are going to want it!
WHAT DO I TAKE A PICTURE OF? 25 SELFIES? That’s the thing. You can take pictures of WHATEVER you want, WHENEVER you want – as long as YOU are in the picture! To help give you some ideas, we have created this PRINTABLE BESTIES PHOTO CHALLENGE CALENDAR to use as a guideline! You can absolutely follow it – or not! No pressure! It’s a quick guide so you don’t ever run out of picture ideas!
SO WHEN DO WE START? The challenge begins THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2018 and will end SEPTEMBER 30th! Make sure you tag and share this with your friends and invite them along to participate in our Besties Photo Challenge too!
