FASHION TIP #17 – Boho Baby and DIY Vest

If you couldn’t already tell, Laila and I are loving the bohemian look lately! The headbands. The vests. The flowers. It is SUCH a cute and fun look! I have been on the hunt for a baby size boho vest FOREVER! I have literally been to every store looking for one and I could not find one ANYWHERE! I was feeling discouraged and was just about to give up on my boho baby hopes and I had the idea to make one!

DIY BOHO BABY VEST

Crochet crop tops are super in for adults and the whole time I searched for a vest for Laila, I kept seeing these. That was when I saw the vision – I could CUT a crop top and make it into a VEST!

I bought this extra small shirt at TJ MAXX for $14 and just cut it right down the middle! I slipped Laila’s arms through it – and bam! It was a boho vest!

We paired the vest with a plain shirt and jean shorts from Old Navy, gold sandals from Babies R Us and darling headband by the one and only Tied In Twine !

This look is in for adults and children! Super cute and comfy too! So excited for you to make your little one a boho vest – SO easy! No sew. Just cutting up a shirt! If I can do it – anyone can! 🙂

Great blog Danielle. I’m going to send you an email this week about a baby topic I’m researching.

Brilliant! I have repurposed my clothes into clothes for my daughter. One of her favorite dresses was once a top of mine.
