I love essential oils! I have had several experiences in my life where essential oils have saved the day! As a mom, I always get worried about different lotions and shampoos that I use on my baby, because you just never know what is in them! Because of this – I have fallen in LOVE with organic and all natural remedies. I love knowing exactly what is going on my baby and knowing that is is healthy for her!

The Crunchy Mamas was made by two super fun and cute sister-in-laws, Ashley and Katie!
Ashley and her husband have four young boys, whom are the reason she turned to the Crunchy side. “She became very angry when she realized that the products she had trusted to use on her boys were loaded with dangerous chemicals — and trust, you do not want to see Ashley angry. It is ugly. After Stephen came out of hiding to avoid Ashley’s tantrum about phthalates, fragrance oils, and sodium lauryl sulfate, they marched over to the health food store and stocked up on ingredients to make everything they would need.”
Ashley’s brother, Dustin, married Katie which made the girls sister-in-laws! Together, Katie and Dustin, have two cute kids. “Her youngest struggled with colic and both children had problematic skin issues that were eventually linked to eczema.It seemed like it was one thing after another so Katie did what Katie does best, she fired up her search engine. She read articles, ordered books, and watched documentaries about the dangerous chemicals in every day products that we all assumed were safe.”
Ashley and Katie were both on a homemade high! Making shampoo, toothpaste and deodorant – they were swapping recipes and ideas for homemade goods! Together the girls made a batch of lip balm and sold them to their friends and family. It didn’t take long for them to see the lip balms were gone, but the demand was still there! They made more batches of the lip balm and started adding hand sanitizes and vapor rub to their lineup. Within TWO HOURS every product they had made, was sold out! Can you believe it!? Seriously amazing!
These two fun and creative moms are now business owners with the mission to inform people about the chemicals in the crap they are using. Every day they are helping raise awareness about the importance of label reading and natural living! They are such an inspiration!
