I was showered, my hair was done, the diaper bag was packed with everything I needed for the day and I was officially “a mom of two on-the-go!”
I was being brave and tackling the grocery store for the first time with two kids – I kept telling myself, “I’ve got this!” and “You can do it!”
To be honest, I have never LOVED grocery shopping. Going up and down aisles looking and checking things off my list just isn’t my idea of fun. You guys. PLEASE tell me you have been there.
My preschooler wanted EVERYTHING she saw. My newborn baby was out of control. And I felt like EVERYONE in the entire store was looking at me like I had no idea what I was doing.
I thought to myself, “What do I do?!” Truly. What do you do when you are in this situation?!
Do you book it out of there, leaving your precious groceries behind?! Apologize to the fellow shoppers for your crazy mom life situation?!
Nobody wants to have “that kid” in a public place… although it really does happen to ALL OF US! It’s the worst feeling and often times can leave not only the kid in tears – but MOM in tears too!
And THAT is the exact reason I am SO EXCITED that Walmart now has a PICK UP service! Say whaaaat?! I KNOW! It is LIFE CHANGING and probably the best news I have ever heard!
Say goodbye to having to get ready to go grocery shopping. Say goodbye to having “that kid” in the store. Say goodbye to your precious hours and time spent there.
