Today IS the Best Day! I love celebrating motherhood…womenhood! I mean – that is pretty much what this whole blog is about, right?! The role of a mother is priceless and by far the best and most rewarding experience of my life. I am grateful for my MOM – and for her MOM – and for her MOM. Because each of them have made me who I am today!
This picture is framed in Laila’s room and I walk by it every single day! It is a special treasure to me! This is my beautiful grandma, holding a picture of my beautiful mom, holding a picture of me, holding a picture of my baby! I love it because it really shows what incredible women I come from. I know it will be a picture Laila will cherish forever.
I am grateful for both of my grandmas, for my mom, mother-in-law, sisters, sister-in-laws and friends that are {and will be in the future!} beautiful, righteous and courageous mothers! They are examples to me and I try to be like them every day.
When I think of a mom, I think of someone who can do everything and anything! Seriously! Sometimes I think, “Gosh! What can my mom NOT do?!” We snuggle, kiss, comfort, cook, clean, provide, coach, teach, read, color, write, drive, smile and love. I love the quote by Julie B. Beck, “There is no limit to what a mother can accomplish. Righteous women have changed the course of history and will continue to do so.”
I woke up this morning to this video from Tyson and Laila – this is full of my very favorite moments of being a mom. I remember the first time I held Laila in my arms. It was unreal. You can read my whole birth story here, but it really was a dream. It was better than I could have ever imagined and it just keeps getting better and better!

I know that together, as moms and women, we can make this world a better place. There really isn’t anything we can’t accomplish! We truly can change the world! I wish you all a wonderful Mother’s Day! I hope it is THE BEST DAY.
