Summer is here!! School is out and it is time to vacation and have so much fun with our families! I hope you all have exciting plans for the next few months – this is such a fun time of year!
Vacationing as a family can sometimes be a little bit of a challenge. It seems like there are LISTS of things to bring and you never know when the next tantrum might be or when you are going to smell the next dirty diaper. Traveling as a family can actually be a really fun experience if you are prepared, so today I have compiled a whole Preparing for Your Summer Vacation Kit. You will find a list of ideas for vacation countdowns, items to pack, activities in the car and of course some guidelines and family rules that you can put in place for the journey ahead.
First off – VACATION COUNTDOWNS! Not only are these so fun to make in the Summer for a kids craft, but once they are completed, it is so fun to wake up every morning and have the kids see their vacation is getting closer. I remember making these when I was little and it is one of my favorite memories!

3. Mad Libs on The Road
4. Car Snack and Travel Tray
5. Everything Kids Activity Book
7. Sunshine Kids Travel Pal Organizer

Third, ACTIVITIES IN THE CAR! Whether you are driving 45 minutes or a week long trip across the country, you will want to keep your toddler and children occupied. The trip goes much faster when you are playing games with them and keeping their mind off the road. You may hear the words, “Are we there yet?!” at least a little less by doing these fun activities!

I hope you have a wonderful Summer Vacation! Enjoy your family and try to make EVERY day, the BEST day for them!
