BESTIES! I am sad to see our month of focusing on the word “PRESENT” ending! What an INCREDIBLE month this has been of being 100% PRESENT in the moment!
Although we have to move on and start a new challenge, what is SO cool about what we are doing with our entire “Bestie’s Life Challenge” is that it is a LIFE challenge, not a month challenge – so we can continue focusing on each of our “Word of the Months” FOREVER!! Being present has been an incredible change in my life – most of the time I don’t even know where my phone is anymore! And it honestly feels SO good!!
Without further ado, I am SO excited to introduce our JULY Word Of The Month…. SELFLESS.
You guys, this month’s word was SO easy for me to decide on. In fact, I am SO passionate about it, I hope I can put into words how I am feeling!
The past week has been an interesting one. I have had this BURNING desire inside of me to just GO! To get out of my house. To get out of my routine. To get out of myself and my comfort zone…and SERVE! To HELP SOMEONE ELSE!
I mean, there is this literal voice inside of me that is saying “Someone needs YOU! Someone…needs.. YOU!” And I literally want to run around town serving as many people as possible every day because the feeling is THAT strong!
Because there is NO way that i can serve the whole world on my own – I thought it would be awesome to have this be a part of our Besties Life Challenge this month! If each of us Besties just serve ONE person this month, together we could touch 100,000 people’s lives…if not MORE! I mean… WHAT!?!?!
So often I get wrapped in my own little world of things to do and places to be and pictures to post and videos to record that I forget that there are people out there who would love a list of things to do…. Who would love a place that they have to be…Who would love to do something that is picture worthy.
So for the next 31 Days of July – our Bestie’s Life Challenge is going to be SELFLESS. As a Bestie Squad, we are going to get out and SERVE. We are going to tell someone that they are loved! We are going to buy the person’s meal behind us at the drive thru! We are going to leave cookies on doorsteps! We are going to write notes! Take dinners! Visit the lonely! Invite someone new! Look outside of our inner circles and just SERVE!
If you are reading this – YOU have been blessed with so many talents and this month you are going to use them! I know when aren’t prideful about our blessings and talents and we actually use them in helping others, we will find hidden talents that we didn’t know we had and not only will we help others, but we will be helping ourselves too!
This month is going to be SO good, you guys. Originally I was going to make a hashtag and have you guys post photos of you serving, but I decided I want this month to be personal. A little more intimate. When you serve this month or do something kind for someone else – big or small – I would love for you to message me about it or send me a photo through DM and I can share them that way! I know often times we want to serve but feel weird posting about it – so send it to me privately, I would LOVE to hear about your experiences!
I am SO excited to be SELFLESS! I can’t wait to look outside of myself and help others who really need it. Because that voice inside of me that is whispering, “Someone needs YOU!” is my message today and this whole month….
To the cute Bestie that is reading this…. SOMEONE NEEDS YOU! And i hope you will go out and make today the BEST day for them!
