A few weeks ago, I decided that I am going to have all of my blog followers have a Service Challenge of the Month! It will be something for all of us to work on together and to help those in need. I know there are always people out in the world who could use our talents and creativity. There is no better way to teach our children about service, than to participate and actually let them SERVE!
November’s Service Challenge was for everyone to participate in Operation Christmas Child. Please click on the following link if you did not have the opportunity to check it out earlier. It has all of the information you need.
As a family, we went to the store and filled up our shoebox. We printed off the label and are taking it to the drop-off location on Saturday! I am so excited to send this box off. I know that it is going to make a little girl in another country have the BEST Christmas day!
It is my hope that we can get as many people to participate in this as possible. Grab your children, grandchildren, niece/nephew, husband/boyfriend and go to the dollar store. On the link above they have ideas for things you can put in the box. This is an amazing way to teach our children about service. There is a special feeling of happiness and joy that fills my heart when I serve and I know your cute children will feel it too as they put together a shoebox for someone they don’t even know. This is a fun and wonderful way to make today the BEST day for our children and to help the children in other countries, be able to experience the BEST day too!
Drop off started yesterday and is through November 25th! It isn’t too late for you to participate! Click on the above link for information about drop-off locations near YOU. They are all around the United States!
