It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! {You know you sang that!} 😉
It is truly the most magical time of year! Just this week we have been hanging our stockings, jamming out to Christmas music, sipping hot chocolate and of course doing one of our most favorite holiday traditions… decorating our tree!
When Tys and I got married, we had a book at our wedding reception where our guests could take a minute and write pieces of advice for us. One of which has stuck with me forever… especially after I became a mom.
It reads, “Never stop making memories! Traditions are magical! Take the best from Tyson’s family. Take the best from Danielle’s family. And then create your own! When you do this, the memory making will never end!”
Now that we have our own little family, I have LOVED following this beautiful advice. Creating traditions and memories has been my passion and Christmastime is one of the best times to create them!
One of which… is stringing popcorn for our Christmas tree! It is SO fun! SO easy! And SO yummy too! I mean let’s be real… any kind of tradition that let’s you snack while doing so is a WIN in my book! 😉
To bring this fun tradition into your home you will need just a few things:
First, POPCORN! Our family favorite is G.H. Cretors Popped Corn. It is HEAVEN, you guys! The quality is top notch and the flavors are to DIE for! For this specific craft, I suggest their Salted Butter or their Extra Virgin Olive Oil flavors.
I also like to have “The Mix” flavor in a bowl next to me for snacking because it’s my new fave! I may or may not have bags in my pantry for backup because I don’t want to ever run out!
You can check out their website or they are also on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube!
Second, you will need a little THREAD AND NEEDLE. Having scissors on hand is a good idea too!
And lastly, a Christmas tree and some little helpers to help you decorate!
Once you have everything, you are ready to go!
Simply tie a knot at the end of the thread and string the popcorn with the needle. You will want to push the needle directly through the middle of the popcorn and pull it through to the end of the thread. Continue adding G H Cretors Popped Corn through the string until the garland is full!
After which, you are ready to place it on your tree!
This fun tradition has quickly become a family favorite! It is something exciting for the whole family to be a part of each year!
So grab yourself some G H Cretors Popped Corn and a sewing kit. Turn on some Christmas tunes and grab your family! Because just like the sweet advice from my wedding…we should never stop making memories and this tradition is truly magical!
