As I get older, I feel like there are more and more opportunities to serve others! With babies being born, moms on bed rest, children getting sick or husbands being unemployed – there are friends out there that need me! They need US!
I have been that woman on bed rest for seven months and I have been that new mom who has absolutely no energy to cook. So I just love when I have the opportunity to pay it forward!
As a mom, life get SO busy and some days I barely have time to even cook dinner for MY family, let alone another family. One day we were running late and couldn’t find a tupperware lid, so I threw a salad into a mason jar… that was when this fun and easy recipe came to life…Taco Salad In A Jar!
Whether you are running to the park or on a family vacation, OR are asked to bring dinner or lunch to a friend in need, Taco Salad In A Jar is the perfect go-to meal! Not only is it easy to throw together, but a super darling way to present it too!
SO here is what you need for Taco Salad In A Jar:
1) Cook your meat: Chicken or Hamburger meat. Whichever you prefer!
2) Layer in a jar: tomatoes, onions, corn, beans, avocado, cheese, meat, and top with lettuce.
3) On the side, provide your favorite sauce for Taco Salad. Ranch, Salsa or our family favorite for a sweet and tangy twist: Catalina Dressing.
4) Top with Tortilla Chips or Fritos
If it is a gift, you can tie a cute ribbon around it or put little name tags on them. You can also attach this little printable to go with it!
