Kindness. Something so simple you would think would come naturally to all of us, but seems to be a disappearing in our world today. At a time that truly needs it the VERY most!
Today it is my honor to introduce you to my dear friend, Marnie. As a former elementary school substitute teacher, she has launched a Children’s Kindness Campaign starting with her six book series BuzzyLuvz®: Practice Kindness, currently being sold on Amazon.com in both Paperback and Kindle formats. The series currently consists of six lessons: Be Helpful, Be Generous, Be Polite, Be Loving, Be Positive, and Be Thankful.
She is also the author of the book Giving is Living: 101 Ways to Practice Effortless Generosity (published 2009 by Hatherleigh Press and distributed by Random House).
You are certainly aware that bullying has become an even more important issue in the United States today, as our society is witnessing an unprecedented amount of violence and deaths in our schools. BuzzyLuvz® is working to resolve this issue by focusing on the root of the problem: our children’s core values.
Marnie says, “I believe that kindness is the solution to bullying. Much of the feedback I have received from parents and educators is that we need more books and programs such as BuzzyLuvz® in our school systems today.”
These books are geared for children 4-7 years old, but my three-year-old absolutely LOVES them! They are the first books she pulls off the shelf and asks me to read on a daily basis!
Every single book is brought to life by whimsical, colorful bees. The illustrations are super cute and the ideas that are given for how to be helpful, how to be generous, how to be polite, how to be loving, how to be positive and how to be thankful are perfect for young children! In fact, at a young age, my girl can remember what she has learned in the books and trys to implement them in her life daily.
From learning how to be a good listener to friends, to learning the importance of including EVERYONE and even how a smile is contagious and can change someone’s life – I am grateful for these books that truly teach our children the most important things in life.
